New York Cancer Specialists, a prominent and respected Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking an Associate Director of Project Management to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation. Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day per week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department in the Tri-State area.
This position provides oversight and leadership of Project Management and will establish and manage all company Project ‘s including but not limited to guiding project teams in partnership with Project Leaders, and the organization in developing process maturity and organizational integrity with respect to Project Management. This position will develop, drive and direct the development of strategic and operational plans as project manager on key development projects.
Develop strategic partnership with the Project Team leaders and the sub-team leaders, by developing robust strategic and operational plans which outline a complete development path, highlight relevant risks, deadlines and ensure appropriate communication of those plans to the team.
Management of lifecycle planning and team meetings to deliver and communicate timely milestones throughout the lifecycle, driving for results and anticipating next steps.
The key deliverables are regulatory project schedules, comprehensive development strategy documents and risk assessment matrices. The role ensures development deliverables for internal and external projects.
The key responsibility is to assure that plans and resources are in place to achieve strategic deliverables for the Project team. Other key deliverables are progress updates and management program interface with the senior management team.
Support the organization in maintaining a work environment focused on quality and that supports respect, open communication, collaboration, integration, and teamwork.

Must have an MBA. Newly graduated students are strongly encouraged to apply.
Solid conflict resolution, problem solving and decision making skills required.
Background in Healthcare helpful.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels in the organization.
Must be able to organize diverse activities in a changing environment.
Proficient writing and documentation abilities.
Must have exceptional Word and Excel capabilities.
Car for travel is necessary.
Salary up to $55,000 per year.
