The Project Management professional will create business systems that effectively manage a project portfolio of both strategic and tactical projects. They will act as a Project Manager and/or executor of both complex and simple projects and partner with leaders to make decisions regarding project selection and prioritization using operational key performance indicators. This includes interacting with cross functional groups to ensure people and processes are working in a coordinated fashion.
This position will provide project management expertise to Project Managers and Sponsors through either formal training sessions or other informal methods. This includes interacting with cross functional groups, such as IT, Quality, Manufacturing Sciences, Manufacturing, Finance, and Engineering to ensure people and processes are working in a coordinated fashion towards achieving completion of agreed upon projects.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to: •Work with leadership to identify the most value added projects; responsible for coordinating and managing the portfolio of projects and workstreams; Create rigorous charters for each project, drive accountability, ensure completion and drive value creation through project execution •Serve directly as Project Manager of certain projects or as sole Executor of projects when the situation warrants it. •Present key operational metrics at leadership meetings while making connections to improvement of metrics to impact of planned or ongoing projects. •Facilitate constant communication across functions to ensure projects and workstreams are moving forward efficiently. Partners with parties as needed to overcome challenges and remove barriers. •Provide Project Management training and expertise to those throughout the organization that are involved with managing or sponsoring projects.
•Strong knowledge of Project Management with associated PM tools •Proficient in utilizing systems to gather data, organize/interpret, and report for various leadership teams •Abilities to manage complexity and manage multiple priorities •Must be team-oriented (proactively builds healthy working relationships between their department and other groups) •Has excellent written and oral communication, and presentation skills •Possesses a working understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement oriented concepts
PMA II: Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Sr PMA: Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
