This position supports the Change Control & Cost unit of the Life Cycle Cost Estimation department and reports to the Manager, Change Control and Cost.
Coordinating the production of and updates to project cost estimates, schedules, progress monitoring and reporting (dashboard data coordination).
Monitoring and analyzing general project performance information.
Identifying anomalies and recommending / taking corrective action where appropriate.
Analyzing project forecasting and resource demand information – cash flow analysis, cost estimating, forecasting, and budgeting.
Understanding and applying the basic concepts of earned value management analysis.
Preparing project support documents, such as memos and short reports.
Change control coordination

Secondary school graduation and a 2-year diploma or degree in a discipline related to project management, business, commerce, or technology.
In addition to the required education noted above, 2 to 4 years of increasingly responsible and relevant project controls experience.
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience related to project management.
Typically, is within 12 to 18 months of achieving CAPM certification.
S/he has a working knowledge of the typical phases of a project.
S/he has working knowledge of project management knowledge areas (cost, time, integration, scope, quality, human resources, communication, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management).
S/he has a general understanding of accounting principles and specifically accruals and reporting accuracy.
S/he has a full working knowledge of the computer-based applications used for project management purposes (i.e., spreadsheets, databases, and specialized scheduling software).
S/he has experience gathering and analysing project data, identifying anomalies, and recommending corrective actions.
S/he has a general understanding of the methods and resources used by functions engaged to perform project activities e.g. engineering, licensing, quality assurance, procurement, manufacturing, etc., as well as the deliverables typically produced.
S/he a basic understanding of engineering drawings and flow diagrams.
S/he has an awareness of nuclear standards.
S/he has a general understanding of the Engineering Change Control process including its applicability to the project schedule.
S/he has strong knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
S/he prepares project support document, such as memos and short reports.
Working knowledge of the CNL project and procurement process, CNL financial systems, and TRAK.
Problems are typically well defined but may require further clarification. Resolution is in conformance with prescribed procedures.
S/he is able to quickly discern arising issues and facilitates their prompt resolution by notifying responsible task leaders.
S/he uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to general problems.
