Under supervision of the Facilities Director, the Facilities Project Manager (FPM) provides project management leadership, technical expertise and problem solving capability in support of capital and maintenance projects. The FPM implements assigned projects defining scope of work, cost estimating, budgeting, construction contract administration, closeout and turn over. Accountable for overall scope, schedule and budget of projects while conforming to MAC master plan, standards, policies and procedures. Essential job functions require the ability to: lift, carry, push and pull up to 20 lbs; occasionally bend, squat, climb, twist, and crawl; reach above shoulders and grasp or squeeze objects; stand, walking or standing for extended periods of time, and enter into confined spaces or outdoors while exposed to weather conditions. Must be willing and able to work all days, extended hours, and alternate shifts as necessary to facilitate project timelines and owners representative responsibilities.
Bachelor degree in Architecture, Engineering, Facilities, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Five years of demonstrated experience in mechanical and electrical systems maintenance and repair.
Five years managerial experience in a complex, multi-phase commercial facility environment with progressive responsibly managing capital projects and renovations.
Significant knowledge of architecture, engineering, construction management practices and the design and construction process.
Ability to interpret complex design/construction documents; skill in preparing and presenting oral and written solutions, developing presentation materials, and answering questions in meetings.
Thirty (30) hour General Industry or Construction OSHA certification.
Experience in negotiating and writing contracts for consultants and contractors.
