Waterfront Toronto seeks a Director, Program and Cost Management, to provide:
a) governance support of projects execution including integrated dashboard reporting and
b) management of projects cost controls and contract administration support through the planning, design and construction phases of complex public realm and infrastructure projects.
As a key member of our Program Management Office team, you will work in close partnership with project managers to ensure effective and efficient delivery of capital projects and proactive management of contract and project costs. Key responsibilities include:
Review and alignment of capital project budget, scope, milestones, execution stage gating and cost performance analysis with forecasting of future funding releases; assisting with administration of multiple, concurrent consultant and construction contracts; cross-project analyses and forecasting/ reporting.
You will also provide management supervision and direction to a project controls manager and be functional liaison between PMO and the corporate accounting, finance and IT functions.
Skills and Qualifications:
Significant project accounting and contract/cost management expertise;
Solid understanding of key project management knowledge areas;
Demonstrated senior level experience in project management, financial and project cost planning, management, and scope control in the Architectural/Engineering/Construction industry;
High proficiency in the use of cost accounting systems;
A relevant post-secondary degree or the equivalent in education, training, and experience; and
Excellent organizational, coordination, interpersonal, communication and supervisory skills combined with the proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
A PMP designation would be considered an asset.
