Greystone Managed Investments Inc. seeks a Project Director. Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Information Technology, the candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a structured project management framework as it relates to all major projects initiated within Greystone, including but not limited to, significant business transformation and information technology project needs.
Review and update the project management methodology, processes and tools specific for Greystone
Create and, on specific larger projects, execute individual project work plans, charters, business cases - including scope, time, resources, cost estimates and business architecture/benefits realization assessments
Identify required resources and assign individual project related responsibilities and tasks
Effectively apply project methodology and project standards; monitor and act on project exposures and risks
Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately distributed and stored
Issue project status reports on a timely basis
Work with internal business unit leadership and external business partners to interpret and advance strategic decisions associated with execution of key projects
Work with information technology leadership to manage major, minor projects and change request processes
Identify and enforce metrics to establish project benefits realization and assist in project closure
Maintain and provide overarching program management support to the full complement of projects in-flight at any one time
Ability to adapt to a fast paced and constantly changing business environment;
Ability to manage cross-functional team and facilitate business process analysis;
Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, as well as strong presentation skills;
Excellent collaboration skills including the ability to negotiate and obtain consensus with senior leadership governance committees, individual business unit representatives and individual professionals. Additionally the candidate must have the ability to develop professional relationships, both internally and with vendors;
A background in business transformation/improvement, IT project management and change management;

The successful candidate will have an undergraduate and/or Master’s level post-secondary education in Business Administration and/or Information Technology in addition to a PMP or relevant certification and experience. We also desire a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience within the financial services sector, 5 or more years of business transformation and IT experience along with business process analysis and change management expertise. Prior investment management experience would be desirable.
