Valencia College is now hiring a Director of Learning Technology/Project Management Services.
Responsible for providing leadership, vision, and coordination for learning technology services and systems, and serving as the primary project manager for Office of Information Technology projects.
Directs and supervises staff in support of learning technology services including, technology-enhanced environment design, implementation, and support; instructional design; and learning management system services.
Communicates and collaborates with campus leadership, faculty, and staff to provide leadership, planning, and support for campus learning technology services and OIT projects. Oversees college instructional design efforts for online, hybrid and web-enhanced courses in close collaboration with the Office of Faculty Development. Establishes and implements policies, procedures, and controls to achieve efficiency, maximize productivity and reduce cost while providing superior technology services. Functions as a member of the management team of the Office of Information Technology and a representative of the office to all Valencia and external constituencies

The successful candidate will:
Have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Have strong experience in IT Project Management (PMO)
Have knowledge of the principles and practice of managing large-scale technology projects.
Have proven experience in leading and coordinating small to large scale technology projects and programs, including application development efforts, systems upgrades and installations, IT security initiatives and data center operations.
Have ability to develop and follow change management procedure and guidelines.
Have excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding leadership and management ability.
Have knowledge of Learning Management Systems (CMS), especially Blackboard, instructional design principles, multimedia applications and authoring tools for instructional purposes.
