Based in our New York office, Fuse Media is currently seeking an experienced Project Management Consultant to bridge the gap between business strategy and execution. The position will identify, prioritize, design, structure, and manage projects that support Fuse Media’s strategic and operational priorities. The ideal candidate will be a strong strategic planner with sound analytical, communication, and people management skills.
Organizes executive-level strategic direction into project-based work; prioritized, sequenced and resourced appropriately
Provides a methodology for tracking work effort, anticipated deliverables, budgetary and performance metrics, benefit realization and milestone-based completion dates
Develop, manage, and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to support planning and execution of strategic projects
Complete analysis tasks where needed on projects - structure problems, data gathering/analysis, process mapping/design, data modeling/analysis and organize/communicate findings
Identify and translate links/inter-dependencies within the business into relevant solutions that support project definition or alignment of strategy.
Facilitate flow of accurate and timely information among stakeholders, work-streams and project teams
Act as catalyst for effective alignment between groups: help expose needs, inter-dependencies, limitations, constraints, and mitigate potential silo approaches
5+ years of project management and consulting experience – preferably in Media/Entertainment/Digital-native industries
Undergraduate Degree in Business administration, Operations Management or related field or equivalent experience – MBA or Graduate Degree preferred
Large or complex project or workstream management experience and the capability to identify key risks, issues, contingency plans, and timelines
Experience in project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycles
Ability to design and implement institutional processes/techniques/templates for project management practices; familiar with PMO/governance structures
Experience building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to understand needs, solve problems, generate analysis and insights, and develop innovative solutions across organizational boundaries
Demonstrated strong communication skills with the ability to design, lead and manage large group meetings to include C-level executives
Ability to collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to generate fact-based recommendations and measurement of progress
