The Internal Controls Project Manager (PM), reports to the Controller and takes direction from the Manager, Internal Controls and is responsible for the planning and delivery of the Internal Controls Project in accordance with bcIMC and PMI project management standards. The PM is accountable for assisting with the creation and delivery of a disciplined internal controls program transition strategy, process and execution plan. The PM will actively liaise with external service providers and key internal stakeholders/personnel to manage the Internal Controls Project through various project milestones.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or relevant discipline
Project Management Professional (PMP) certified
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a project management role
Proficient with Microsoft products, including Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Initiative, drive, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated track record of achieving results in a complex business environment working across a variety of stakeholders
Experience with internal controls assessments as Internal or External Auditor, Business Analyst, or similar role
Internal control related designation (CPA, CIA, CISA)
Internal control scoping, reporting, project or program experience (SOC1, MI 52-109, SOX)
Experience with project management software applications (SharePoint, Visio)
