IT Project Manager - Information Systems-17001376 Description
This is limited term position ending July 31, 2020.
This is a grant funded position and is not eligible for severance pay. Under minimal supervision, responsible for identifying, planning and meeting project deliverables and milestones that utilize information technology solutions. Oversees project resources, management of project budget, plans, risks, issues, assumptions, and definitions, as well as mitigation activities and project communications. May supervise others.
Provides project leadership and project management oversight.
Defines, plans, tracks, adjusts, and reports on progress of the project.
Plans and communicates to obtain approval and sign off from sponsor and other project stakeholders.
Tracks and reports risks, issues, and accomplishments.
Reports on project budget and associated variance.
Leads, manages, and supervises project team and project vendors and contractors.
Responsible for project communications.
Qualifications Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of experience managing complex IT projects and teams.
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain relationships within project teams and across the organization.
Strong analytical skills and familiarity with technical development requirements related to system specialty assignments.
Master's degree in a related field.
Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification in PMP preferred.
